Bio

I’m Mat — also known as Matd, Mathias, or The Wiz, The Hexer. I started on guitar at 9, then added keyboards, bass, and later drums. By the ’80s I was splicing 2″ tape in recording studios. Today, I’m producing in the digital realm while also programming audio tools in C++, Rust and Svelte.

I run Cupido Music and also build Plinken, a browser-based workspace where artists can collaborate on audio and video, record remotely, and tap into clever AI tools.
